Vera Wang: Princess

Hi everyone,
Today I want to share with you one of my favorite parfumes: Vera Wang Princess.
I first discovered this in the airport when I was on my way back home from Australia, but decided not to get it yet. After a while I started regretting that I didn't buy it and started looking for the perfume here in Belgium. It was nowhere to be found! No matter what store I tried, I just couldn't find it anywhere. Until one day, the pretty bottle found me :) My mom knew I was looking for this parfume and looked for it on line. She found it and bought it for me as a gift. I couldn't have been happier the day that box arrived! :) Yay!

Maybelline super stay 24 color

A while ago Maybelinne brought out this promising lipstick/lipstain. They claim it would stay on for 24 hours. When I bought it I didn't expect too much from it because usually I'm not happy about these drug store lipproducts. I wore it that same day and to my surprise it still looked pretty good after a couple of hours and even diner!

First you have to apply some sort of liquid stain. I like the the way it applies and it spreads out nicely.
The stain dries in a few seconds but it does leave a very sticky feeling on your lips. After applying the colourless libalm the feeling goes away, it gives a beautifull glos-like shine. You can also use a regular lipbalm but some of the colour will stick on on it. The included lipbalm doesn't seem to take any colour.

my name necklace :)

My name necklace is definitely my favorite piece of jewelry :)! Me and my sister got it for Christmas 3 years ago and I still wear it a lot. I'm not sure where my mom got the inspiration to buy us this.. I bet she watches sex and the city when she's home alone ;).
Anyway, it's a very simple silver one she ordered online but I don't know the website..

My favorite hair products

I have a history with lots of bad hair days.. I've got curly hair that tends to get frizzy.
I used to straighten my hair every day and of course it got super damaged! About 2 years ago I decided to stop torturing my curls and just go for a natural hair-do :).
I'm still not too happy with my hair but now I've finally found a shampoo and conditioner I'm happy about. So hooray to that! I tought I had tried everything, from cheap to 20 euro bottles and then I tried this. A shampoo for dry or damaged hair and a conditioner for normal hair. They makes my hair soft, I like the smell and on top of that they're cheap :)!

So I went shopping again...

Today I went shopping and I bought a few things :).
It's getting really cold here so I bought 2 warm sweaters (well, one warm sweater and one thin one I just couldn't resist). They both have cute prints on them but I hope you don't think they're childish..

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR: On and on Bronze

Hi everyone,
I now I'm really late on this, but I'm still going to blog about this product.
The Maybelline Color Tattoos have been out for quite a while now and they've slowly been coming to Europe now. One thing I did notice is that they changed the names for what seem to be the same shades as in America. The one that I have is called 'On and on Bronze' which is the same as 'Bad to the Bronze' in the US if I'm not mistaken. All the other names are diffrent as well. I have no idea why?

my new coat :)

Belgium is getting really cold and I need a warm coat!
I saw this Zara one online but they didn't sell it in my local Zara store. After having watched it online about a hundred times I finally purchased it.
I just made a collage of the look I'd like to make with this coat.

silver belt
earrings
quilted sweater
coat
jeans
bowling bag

So this is it :).

my wishlist :)

1. Black and nude bag from baginc.
2. Purple Birkin bag look alike from iwantthatmusthave.nl (not the exact same one)
3. Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay.
4. YSL, soft fucshia lipstick.
5. Revlon, just bitten kissable lipstain.

What color lipstain do you prefer? I haven't decided yet.. It's extra hard to choose one because they don't sell them in Belgium and so I can only see the colors online..Have you got a favorite?

ps: Christmas is comming up and I've just sent this list to my mom, hope she takes a hint ;)!
Bye!

Asos cat flats

Lately I've been searching the internet for some beautiful look-alike Marc Jacobs mouse flats.
I just couldn't find a pair that I really liked until I discovered thes cute cats on asos :)! They weren't exactly what I was looking but maybe that's even better :). This way I'm not the girl with the fake mouse shoes.

I picked the bronze ones and I absolutely love the color. Can't wait to wear them!
These ballet flats are true to size (or maybe slightly on the bigger side but I sure wouldn't go down a size if I were you) and the quality is rather good for such a great price.
The delivery was quick and correct as always with Asos :).

Hex nut necklace

Aloha!

We've have been seeing a lot of hex nut jewelry recently, most of the time in bracelets like the great famous Braided Hex Nut bracelet from honestly ... wtf.
So I wanted to make my very own version and I came up with this. It's really easy, you just have to glue some hex nuts together, you can even make a shape if you want, like the batman logo or such, it depends on the size of your hex nut. If you have a high variation of sizes you could play with them even more. Hex nuts are really cheap, you can find them in any hardware store. I just used two small hex nuts to attach my chain it seemed easier to me.
I also used a trombone to attach both sides. I really like this trick because I normally never have enough stuff to close my necklaces.

I actually like the way it turned out, it looks really luxurious.

See you,
Maud.

Lalalaaaa :)

Last weekend I felt energetic and started looking for ways to make this sweater look a bit cooler. It was pretty boring so I sewed some little buttons on it :).
The buttons were cheap so I hope I don't loose them in the laundry machine!

I got the same sweater in neon pink, I don't know how I can make that one more original.
Any ideas? Ps: the color is much brighter than it seems to be in the picture.

Summer jewelry favorites: Arm Candy (bracelets)

Summer’s finally here, at least they say it is.. The sun is almost nowhere to be seen the last few weeks. What we do see on the other hand is rain.. and LOTS of it. Me no likey! Today on the other had the sun decided to grace us with her presence, so I took the opportunity to take some pictures with some decent lighting while I still can :)

Even though bracelets don’t really show from underneath our jackets, a girl can think ahead for when I’ll be going on my vacation to Italy. So here are some of my favorite bracelets to wear this summer.

Bone necklace

Yo!

While eating chicken wings the other day, I came up with a brilliant idea. The idea of making a bone necklace out of my chicken wings bones.
The first step was to remove all the meat that was left on the bones. It was quite a struggle because I didn't know where and how to begin, so after some net surfing, where I looked at numerous suspicious sites where they were telling what the easiest way was to remove meat from an human skull,... I finally found what I had to do.

1. Boil the bones with bicarbonate of soda, after that it is very easy to remove the meat.
2. Put the bones in bleach for one or two days so they lose their nasty smell and the become whiter.
3. Let the bones dry in the sun.
( if you have a lot of time you could even bury them and the ants will eat the meat, they say it works really good as well.)

After that it's as easy as shitting down a hole. You just make two holes at both sides, find a
chain that you like and attach both ends.

I bought a chain some years ago in the 'gamma' for a 'rapper' costume, I used that one. Chains are quite cheap there. After you attach both ends you're ready to wear your edgy, grunge necklace.

I did a bracelet with the rest of the chain. And also some other bracelets with cutlery, like forks, knifes and spoons by just folding them in the right round shape. Wearing a lot of
them at the same time is really cool.

See you!

Sparkling outer-sole.

I wanted to pimp my vans so I did a quick brainstorming. I could change the laces or put studs on it like Laure did. But I kind of like the texture of it and I didn't want to hide it. So after some thinking I came up with the idea of putting glitters on the outer-sole of my shoes. Some people are gonna say that it's useless. That nobody will see it. But I think it's kind of magical it looks like you just stepped into unicorn poop. (I'm going to try making unicorn poop one day too.) And when you're walking some of the glitters may fall, so if you're lost you could still find your way back (hahah).

It's actually really cheap to do. I used glue for the bigger glitters and I used a bit of nail polish and also glue for the little ones. Sparkles are really cheap.
I don't know if it's going to stay so I'll do an edit in a few days after walking in the rain etc.

I'm actually putting glitters on a lot of things recently. Like this lighter ahah.

EDIT: It actually stayed, and some people even noticed the sparkling when i was walking so it's pretty cool. You could also only put sparkles in the 'holes' because they stay better there, the sparkles on the flat parts rubbed out when I was walking.

Aloha everybody!

Mommy, this is for you.

I was asked to make a DIY-rubric on this blog or maybe I asked it, but hey, with these sentences I'm starting the first DIY-post.
I can't remember the time when I really started DIY. I always have been busy breaking my jewelery into pieces and building them up again to create new things.
So the first step you have to take if you really want to start DIY is to gather all the old jewelery, clothes you can find. Like you could even ask you friends to give you charity of their old fashioned pieces. It worked for me. Because when you're going to these shops where they sell jewelery pieces etc. you're going to waste a lot of money and time, everything is way too expensive there djeezes.

I made a lot of jewelery lately, I've been spending a lot of time in my room the last 3 days (studying of course)

I made some collar brooches with chains. I think they look really sophisticated and add something to denim or silk blouses.

They are actually really easy to make. I found the two leaves on old earrings and just attached chains to them. I also used old earrings to make them hold to my jacket. I just glued the earrings to the leaves. That's it!

See you around.

feeling gypsy :)

Oops I did it again :S an impulsive buy.
It al started when I was lookin for a promdress :) eventually I ended up with 2 summer dresses, a gipsy skirt and some kind of hand harness. Ooh well, I hadn't spent a lot of money the last couple of weeks and I must say, there's no better feeling than coming home and finding a package in your mailbox on which you had waited for days :D.

Disney couture

Ouuh! Cute cute cute :). Disney has brought out a collection of jewelry that is based on famous Disney stories. The collection's called Disney Couture.
I havn't seen it in any shops yet but lately I've been spotting it more and more on blogs. If you want to be original and the first one of your friends to have something of the collection you should probably be fast :)!
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have already been spotted with it :)!

This is only a very small part of the collection :)! I just randomly picked some of the stuff I liked. I think alsmost the entire collection is available on several sites online. I picked out the previous stuff on http://www.asos.com/. unfortunately I lost the link to the pink bracelet :(..

L'Oréal: Body-Expertise Nutribronze

Since it's already spring, and summer's coming closer and closer (finally!) I thought I might just get my tan started already :) I can't hurt to pretend it's already summer and sunny weather right? :) I decided to try something new and so far I really like it. I've been trying the Body-Expertise Nutribronze from L'Oréal. This lotion promises a gradual (natural) bronzing proces and is supposed to hydrate your precious skin as well.

I have to say that the result looks really natural to me and other tanning products I've tried before often made me (and my sheets) look orange, which is never good unless you're and Umpalooma.. The lotion also has a nice smell, but after a while you do still get a little bit of that tanning smell you always get when you use self tanners. There's no escape to that sadly enough. The result you get is good enough that I can ignore the little smell that comes with it :)
What kind of self tanning products do you use?

Love.

my little furry friend :)

I know it's spring now, but it just couldn't wait for winter to put this article on the blog :).
I bought this furry coat on Asos at a 50% discount! Getting it wasn't that easy though.. When I saw this coat I immediatly decided to buy it. I had already put it in my 'online shopping cart' and was still looking around on Asos looking for other stuff. As I tried to pay the jacket it was sold out :(. I guess someone had been faster than me and bought the last one. Dissapointed as I was I sent a mail to Asos but they said the jacket was no longer available. I kept on looking and a few days later it was back on Asos :)! I guess someone had sent it back :)! Lucky me!
The coat is really warm and soft :) and don't you just love the ears?
